Teachers wishing to take the FOR-PD course for College credit will need to contact a participating University. Contact information is provided on our Participating Districts & Universities website.
Who can register to take the FOR-PD course?
The FOR-PD course is available to any certified teacher or teacher seeking alternative certification in the state of Florida. Teachers who live outside the state of Florida and maintain certification with Florida can also take the course when space is available. When you register, you will be asked to provide your certificate number.

- Literacy Newsletter- This newsletter deals specifically with literacy. It contains resources for teachers to use with their students, latest books for students, a text set, literacy research, and upcoming events across the state and nation.
- Reading Strategy of the Month - Each month, we feature a research-based strategy including downloadable strategy sheets that you can use with your students. Check out all the strategies on the Reading Strategy Archive Page.

- Resource Database - This database contains links related to literacy and learning. We add new resources each month.
- Expert Interviews - FOR-PD actively seeks interviews with literacy experts across the country on topics related to the course. Each interview is then posted on our website as a means of literacy support and follow-up.
- Reading Reminders - The Reading Reminders summarize the key points within each lesson of the FOR-PD course.
- Information for Parents - FOR-PD has compiled a list of sites that provide literacy information for parents.
